BROWN BEAR SLOVAKIA
The Brown Bear ( Ursus arctos) is the main species you will observe on our bear watching tours in Slovakia. The brown bear Slovakia population lives freely in the wild mountains of the Carpathians, making this one of the best places in Europe to see bears in their natural habitat. Our tours take place in prime bear territory in the High Tatras, where brown bears move through remote valleys, forests, and mountain slopes. This is real wilderness—no fences, no feeding, and no captivity. Our sometimes 4-5 times per week presence in the valleys enables us to know the bear patterns and spot their movement in remote valleys and slopes. This natural habitat is the reason why brown bear Slovakia sightings are highly successful with experienced local guides.
